2019 Spelling Bee Results

The 2019 SESC Regional Spelling Bee was held at Grand County High School on March 6, 2019. The SESC Regional Spelling Bee is a local competition of the Scripps National Spelling Bee.
 
This year’s Spelling Bee Champion is Chloe Garvin a 5th grade student at Castle Heights Elementary School in Carbon School District. As the winner of our competition, Chloe will represent SESC and the southeastern Utah schools at the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington D. C. during Bee Week from May 26 through June 1, 2019.
 
The second place champion is Megan Kimmerle an 8th grade student from Grand County Middle School, Grand County School District.
 
The third place champion is Adriana Johnson an 8th grade student at ARL Middle School, San Juan School District.
 
Local spelling bees were held in Carbon, Emery, Grand and San Juan County School Districts, and Pinnacle Canyon Academy. The top three winners from each local bee advanced to the regional bee. The top three local winners are as follows:
